Frequently asked questions
A few common questions are answered below.
- What is an empty leg?
- An empty leg (or deadhead flight) occurs when a private jet must reposition after dropping off passengers. The operator needs the aircraft somewhere else, so they offer the repositioning flight at a significantly reduced rate.
- Do I need a membership?
- No. Membership is optional — you can search, book, and fly without one, paying only for the flights you book. Membership tiers are available for travelers who want earlier access to flights and lower broker fees, but they are never required to fly.
- How are prices determined?
- The operator sets the flight price. On top of that, Valdor charges one transparent broker fee — 9% today — for arranging the flight; your membership tier and active referrals can lower it. There's no hidden markup buried in the fare: the operator's price and our fee are shown before you book, so what you see is what you pay.
- Who are the operators?
- All operators on Valdor Jets hold the required air operator certificates (AOC) and carry appropriate insurance. We work only with fully certified, independently safety-rated companies.
- What if my flight is cancelled?
- Empty legs are subject to change if the originating charter is cancelled or altered. In that event, we will re-route you on an equivalent leg or issue a full refund.
